The LICOSESS College of Education is in such of qualified persons to
serve in the positions of Senior Accountant and Personnel Manager.
The Senior Accountant must have a minimum of a bachelor degree in
accounting or related field with at least 5 years of work experience in higher
education. Senior Accountant responsibilities include:
• Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and
receivable
• Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status
The Personnel Manager is the go-to person for all employee-related issues.
This means that the Personnel Manager’s duties will involve managing
activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance
management, training, development and talent management. The
Personnel Manager must hold a Master’s Degree in School Administration
with over 5 years of experience working in Higher Education.

Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor,
chief or senior accountant
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP)
• Awareness of business trends
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end
close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like
FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
